‘Skate day’ for Tomasz as Fusion Marine thanks staff for their hard work
Employees from fish farm equipment manufacturer Fusion Marine have been treated to a specially organised sea angling trip in a bid to target one of Scotland’s most elusive fish.
The ‘skate fishing day’ was held by Barcaldine based Fusion Marine as a gesture of thanks to employees for their excellent work over the last year. Despite skate being a notoriously difficult fish to catch, employee Tomasz Talaska still managed to come up trumps with a 160lb specimen, which was quickly released to help conserve stocks.
Fishing in the Sound of Mull on board the Oban based charter vessel Creagallan, skippered by Colin Currie, every member of staff managed to pull in a stream of other species including conger and mackerel.
Managing director Stephen Divers said: “We really appreciate the hard work put in by all our employees and we thought this skate fishing day would be an appropriate way to reward their efforts.
“I would like to thank Colin Currie for his expertise in ensuring we hit good marks of fish.”
