- Fusion Tender Range, FFB: 4, 5, & 5.5m
The 4 to 5.5 metre
versions of the Fusion Tender range are aimed specifically at the
utility boat market which routinely uses 'inflatable type' vessels.
Designed to be portable, these heavy duty vessels are rigged so as
to prevent abrasion and other damage.Even when fully loaded, the Fusion
Tender Workcraft remains steady in the water. The craft will provide
many years service in this role without the need of expensive tarpaulin
protection, routine maintenance and repair and regular (and expensive)
replacement.
The collar is
made from 13mm thick butt-welded PE pipe, providing excellent strength
with abrasion resistant protective cladding. The protective collar
has five integral compartments separated by bulkheads and doesn't
rely on internal pressure to maintain its shape.
The underside
of the vessel is made from a heavy duty polyethylene sheet formed
into a shallow V-hull. This configuration allows for ease of storage
associated with conventional flat-bottomed 'inflatable type' craft,
but significantly reduces the 'grabbing' and 'slamming' associated
with such craft.
Transoms are
manufactured from 30mm thick PE sheet, designed to take the reaction
forces imposed by high-performance outboards, and the wear and tear
associated with the constant installation and removal of engines.
Repairs
If persistent abrasion over several years, or a determined effort
has damaged a craft, the polyethylene material is easily repaired.
Simple gouges or small punctures can be repaired using a hot blade.
Larger repairs can be made using simple polyethylene welding equipment.
